Predicting the Super Bowl Winner with Chicken Wing Bones

I feel kind of guilty. I've been publishing this blog for four years now, and I this is the first time I'm letting you in on my magical method for picking the Super Bowl winner. I can't tell you how or where I learned how to do this (long story short, I'd be killed by a very tall, dreadlocked gypsy if I did), but I can tell you it's a sure thing.

Normally, I'd never give insane advice like withdraw your children's college funds, and bet everything on the game, but here, it would be crazy not to. ;-) Enjoy!

Speaking of Buffalo Chicken Wings – They're Now Available in Convenient Dip Form

My friend, Stephanie Gallagher, About.com's Guide to Cooking for Kids, just posted this video recipe for an Buffalo Chicken Dip. If you want all the taste of Buffalo wings without the bones, check out this easy appetizer. You can get the ingredient list here.

You are a real renaissance man, Chef John! Kitchen wizardry and now apparently a master diviner. Buffalo wing bones make perfect sense to me as a medium for predicting major sports events. I typically have no interest in the Super Bowl but now I'll have to check out the results to see if your streak continues.

You realize of course the best way to maintain the bones' winning streak is announce the results on Monday? The dip recipe looks tasty but there are not many video recipes delivered with the flair and watchability of your videos Chef John. You set the bar pretty high with the videos here.

John I love you but someone has to say it - you're full of ....

Just don't start picking stocks because the SEC will be all over you...and then who, tell me who, will be there to provide us with great video recipes and understated comedy???

I love this website:)Thank you, thank you, thank you:)
Still.. I have one quick question..
What is wrong with being too acurate?

Thanks! Re: too accurate... You are new to this site aren't you? That was me trying to be funny. :-)

Hold the presses. I think you interpreted the plates in the wrong order. It looks to me like the first plate says under 44-1/2 and the second plate says Pittsburgh.

I heard of a guy whose wife had a 17-0 record predicting Super Bowl results by reading tea leaves. He finally put his faith in her predictions and lost all he had on the 18th game. Turns out that she had run out of tea and had substituted coffee...

Grounds for divorce.

Haha! You are hilarious Chef John :D Strangely, I made my predictions before watching your video and they are very similar -- I have high hopes for the halftime show. Happy Super Bowl Sunday!

Chef John: Three out of four is pretty darn good. I actually enjoyed the the half time show, it was pretty entertaining. Can't wait for your predictions next year so I can win a ton on money. Thanks for the great recipies and your wonderful sense of humor!

John, you were right, the Packers won and the half time show sucked. I don't know about the spread. I didn't trust you and didn't bet the house. My bad.

I bet with with your prediction and WON!!! YEY! Thank you!!

Hanging with the guys, I have serious game cred now, thanks to you and your chicken bones! And while I didn't think the half time show sucked, it didn't go as planned, so I would give your runaway bone credit where credit's due.
I don't really understand the whole over/under thing, but I'm sure that went as predicted as well.
All that and a great chef! Thanks.
