"Seed to Sausage" – Inspiration, Wrapped in Bacon

The lovely and talented Denise and Lenny, from ChezUs, created this exceptional video to showcase the sustainably-produced charcuterie of Ferme Baradieu. The video was shot on their recent trip to France, and was submitted to Protein University for the "Who's Your Butcher" contest.

All that stuff I said about being inspired to raise my game after watching White on Rice Couple's video for Gluten-Free Girl and the Chef's new cookbook, applies here as well. Not only is this one of the most beautiful food videos I've ever seen, it's about pork. I never get tired watching pork. It's my second favorite thing to do with it.

For more information, you can check out their YouTube channel, or contact them on ChezUs. Enjoy!

I'm beginning to understand that it's all in the photography. If I invited Chezus to my house, do you suppose they could make my life look beautiful? I certainly can't seem to.

Pleeeease, get back to a normal template. This one is imposible!

Thanks for spreading the Seed-to-Sausage message. Yes, the knives are sharp, the cuts are sure, the pork is amazing and the music is classic Serge Gainsborough. This is the real deal, in SW France, learning butchery & charcuterie on the farm with farmer/butchers. Merci!

Anon, what are you trying to do that's not working? The only difference is a 2nd column to the right. The posts and navigation are exactly the same.

Tamar, maybe, but given the choice, I'd rather have what you already enjoy, a life that's beautiful on the inside ;-) (having said that, I've been to your blog, and it looks like you are surrounded by beautiful things!)

Chef John, the vertical scrolling is so fragmented, is driving me crazy. I'm the anonimous from above. I got a Athlon 1000Mhz 2640 Mhz RAm system with good video card.
Maybe its just me, but i feel thet the picture backround is (unintentionaly) attention grabbing, too.
As for more add space, great job.
I'm only saing these things beacuse I looove your blog and now its harder for me to enjoy it.

thanks for the video chef john! but what's your first favorite thing to do with pork?

Chef John said...

Really? u have to ask? ;-) eat it!

I agree that the backgound does take my attention too much. The picture is nice, but there is too much of it.

Could the scroll be from right to left?

Chef John said...

Scrolling nightmare? I'm still confused. The posts are still on a white background as always, and I notice no difference scrolling up and down the page. Behave exactly like before. What am I missing? Also, what does scroll right to left mean? Does anyone know what these guys are talking about? Thanks for the feedback!

Inner beauty is so *&%^& overrated.

As for the format problems, it may be that they're in other browsers, or back-level versions -- that's usually what it is when my readers have them. Have you tested Firefox, Safari, etc?

Chef John said...

Yes, I check in Safari and Firefox, and other than the "look" I saw no difference in any behavior. I'm not even sure what they are seeing. I can't imagine how a background image would effect scrolling. but, then again, what I don't know about this stuff could fill a book! ;-)

Inspiring... I love it.

Chef John, i didnt want to upset you. Maybe its some computer stuff that I'm missing, too.
Keep up the good work and we'll see what the heck was wrong at tis end, if your side works fine.
i use firefox 3.6.8. Again, congrats!
